la II Guerra Mundial.
La banda británica Pink Floyd hace gala de su genialidad creando un
disco que narra una historia en el desarrollo de una película que lleva por
título The Wall, donde podemos identificar a un personaje principal, Pink,
quien sufre de la pérdida de su padre a causa del conflicto bélico. Su
infancia transcurre en medio de la crianza aprehensiva de una madre
sobreprotectora, que paradójicamente no entendía sobre las maneras
para darle amor a su hijo, sumado a la imposición de una educación
conservadora y estricta. Durante su vida, los traumas a causa de todo
esto, dejan marcas en la personalidad del personaje, quien por ser subyu-
gado cuando mostraba dotes poéticos y artísticos, decanta en en un
producto exitoso de la industria musical, y lo que todo eso conlleva. Al
alcanzar la fama comercial como rockstar se convierte en alguien presio-
nado e infeliz aunque no lo demuestra, aumentando cada vez más la
asfixia que sentía, para al final colapsar a causa de la soledad que lo
agobiaba.
Pink Floyd enmarca perfectamente una historia dramática narrada a
través de las canciones de su álbum, dejando ver excelentes elementos
gráficos y un manejo prodigioso de las herramientas del cine. Alan Parker
dirige la película nacida de la creatividad de Roger Waters
A nivel musical nos encontramos con un álbum magnífico, con los
sonidos progresivos de una banda que llevó la música a un nivel de
ingeniería.
Cuenta con un planteamiento social y humano manteniendo la esencia de
su música, lo que hace que esta composición pueda ser atemporal y
disfrutada por cualquier generación.

The British band Pink Floyd shows off their genius by creating an
album that tells a story in the development of a film called The Wall,
where we can identify a main character, Pink, who suffers from the
loss of his father due to of the war conflict. His childhood takes place
in the midst of the apprehensive upbringing of an overprotective
mother, who paradoxically did not understand the ways to give love
to her son, added to the imposition of a strict and conservative
upbringing. During his life, the traumas caused by all this leave
marks on the character’s personality, who, by being subjugated when
he showed poetic and artistic gifts, decanted into a successful product
of the music industry, and what all that entails. Upon achieving
commercial fame as a rockstar, he becomes someone under pressure
and unhappy although he does not show it, increasing the suffocation
he felt more and more, to finally collapse due to the loneliness that
overwhelmed him.
Pink Floyd perfectly frames a dramatic story narrated through the
songs on their album, revealing excellent graphic elements and a
prodigious use of film tools. Alan Parker directs the film born from the
creativity of Roger Waters
On a musical level we find a magnificent album, with the progressive
sounds of a band that took music to an engineering level.
It has a social and human approach while maintaining the essence of
his music, which makes this composition timeless and enjoyed by any
generation.
